Teachers, Librarians and Community
I am available for school visits, library visits, community events, and Skype sessions. For information on setting up an Author Visit, visit Simon & Schuster's Author Appearance Page, send an email to the Author Appearance Coordinator, or feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I have a standard classroom talk that includes what an author does, elements of a story, and a group story creation activity for students. Presentations will be catered to your needs and interactive sessions can incorporate any/all of the following:
- the writing and publishing process
- developing characters, plot, and tension in fiction
- researching/utilizing historical elements in fiction
- elements of a fictional retelling and/or origin story
- Question/Answer Session
The Becky Thatcher Curriculum Guide works with The Actual & Truthful Adventures of Becky Thatcher as a standalone book and as a complement to Mark Twain's classics The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
